Sungha Jung, 16-year-old acoustic fingerstyle virtuoso from South Korea has just released his third studio album titled <The Duets>, special collaboration work with five renowned acoustic guitarists from Japan including three veteran musicians with lasting and prominent career – Rynten Okazaki, Masa Sumide and Shun Komatsubara – , and two brilliant young, leading finger pickers - Aki Miyoshi and Akihiro Tanaka - .
With individual colors and dynamic energy, they combined 9 dazzling fingerstyle arrangements of all time standards including Change the World from Eric Clapton and Shape of My Heart from Sting plus 3 original tunes from two previously released albums of Sungha Jung himself: Irony (Irony, 2011), Perfect Blue and Hazy Sunshine (Perfect Blue, 2010). Listeners are guaranteed to be in for an acoustic treat that Sungha Jung presents with his Japanese mentors/friends in this special duet collaboration project of masterful musicianship.

DEPAPEPE , Tahukah kalian dengan nama ini ? ga tahu yak ? Depapepe berasal dari Jepang. Bukan Boyband & Grup band. But, mereka cuma pake 2 gitar dan mereka bisa membius siapa saja. Pokoknya keren lah, jujur aja gue mulai suka sama DEPAPEPE sejak pertama kali dengar salah satu lagu mereka di On The Spot, tapi gue belom tahu apa judul lagu itu, sampe akhirnya gue googling dan tahu judul lagunya yaitu Time. Anyway, DEPAPEPE ini terdiri dari dua orang :

DEPAPEPE adalah Duo akustik gitar yang berasal dari Negeri Sakura. Dengan personilnya yaitu Takuya Miura dan Yoshinari Takuoka. DEPAPEPE lebih dikenal dengan musik instrumental dari gitar akustik yang mereka mainkan. Musiknya yang instrumental ini membuat emosi pendengarnya mengikuti alunan melodi yang keluar dari gitar akustik yang harmonis. Jadi bukan karena mereka malu bernyanyi, tapi karena mereka itu duo grup instrumental.
      Grup duo yang dibentuk pada tahun 2002 ini, memulai debut karirnya pada tahun 2005 dengan album mereka " Let's Go!!! " yang terjual sejumlah 100.000 kopi dan berada di peringkat 10 Oricon's Instrumental Artists Debut Chart. Sebelum itu mereka sudah merilis tiga album indie, yakni ACOUSTIC FRIENDS (5 February 2004), Sky! Sky! Sky! (15 July 2004), dan PASSION OF GRADATION (2 December 2004).
            Nama itu sendiri datang dari gabungan kedua nama pendek  mereka. Yakni diambil dari nama panggilan dari Takuya 'deppa' yang artinya yaitu Tonggos. Dan nama dari band lamanya Takuoka "DERUPEPE". Rumor perbedaan kepopuleran beredar diantara fans mereka. Karena Kedua gitaris ini bukanlah seorang saudara. Tapi Sony Music memformasikan mereka secara berpasangan den memakai nama DEPAPEPE untuk grup mereka. DEPAPEPE semakin dikenal ketika mereka ikut menyisipkan instrumennya untuk serial televisi anime Honey and Clover.
            Lagu – lagu Instrument mereka yang unik membuat para penikmat musik di dunia  mudah sekali menerima mereka. Sehingga karir mereka di jalur Internasional dengan gampang mereka raih. Apalagi sosok DEPAPEPE juga menjadi pedoman bagi orang yang khususnya mencintai alat musik gitar. Karena lagu – lagu mereka bisa untuk melatih skill kita dalam bermain gitar. Untuk pecinta musik Klasik dan Jazz, haruslah mencoba mendengar lagu – lagu mereka. Karena Instrumen gitar yang dimainkan sangat berbeda dari Instrumen gitar yang biasa kita dengar.

Oiya, karena terkenalnya mereka, gue sering mendengar lagu-lagu mereka di jadikan back sound disetiap program di salah satu stasiun televisi swasta di Indonesia loh. So, yang belum tau tentang lagu-lagunya Depapepe seperti apa sekali-kali dengerin, lagunya enak-enak kok.
            Ambillah gitar kawan!! Marilah kita pelajari petikan nada – nada gitar instrument dari DEPAPEPE !
